FOR THE STUDY OF ANDROGEN DEFICIENCY
(THE ANDROPAUSE SOCIETY)
1.
The company's name is the Society for the Study of Androgen Deficiency
(The Andropause Society) (hereinafter called "the Society").
2.
The Society's registered office is to be situated in England and
Wales.
3.
The Society's objects are:

(1)
advancement of education and training in the medical understanding
and treatment of androgen deficiency; |
| |
(2)
the relief of sickness, in particular, of the short and long
term consequences of androgen deficiency; |
| |
(3)
the protection and preservation of public health, in particular,
the health of the ageing population. |
In
furtherance of such objects but not further or otherwise, the
Society shall have the power:-
| |
(i)
to facilitate the advancement of education by the promotion
of interest in all matters relating to the short and long
term consequences of androgen deficiency and the associated
life events; |
| |
(ii)
to facilitate the multi-disciplinary study of matters relating
to androgen deficiency and the exchange of information and
ideas between persons and organisations working in this field,
as well as to provide an authoritative information resource
for the general public via the internet and other media; |
| |
(iii)
to create an international network of health professionals
willing to increase awareness of and investigate, treat and
prevent androgen deficiency and its consequences and promote
high standards of training in this field; |
| |
(iv)
to support the World Health Organisation in its efforts to
alleviate the problems raised by the predicted increases in
the over-sixties population; |
| |
(v)
to facilitate studies into prostate carcinoma and the need
to clarify any possible links with testosterone levels; |
| |
(vi)
to foster and promote research relating to androgen deficiency
in the adult male. |
